Rock Steady Launch Day

Date: Friday 1 May

Students will have the opportunity to explore a range of musical instruments to see if they are interested in beginning music tuition at school. Further information will be provided to parents on the day. All correspondence should be directed to Rock Steady.

Local preschool visits

Date: Tuesdays throughout Terms 2 and 3

Who: Year 5 students only

All Year 5 students will visit our local preschools (Milestones and Papilio) to read a story and facilitate activities with the preschool children. This initiative aims to support children as they transition to big school by helping to build positive relationships.

PARENT INFORMATION SESSIONS – Aveley North Primary School

Kindergarten Parent Information Session

Date: Thursday 7 May

Time: 8:15am - 9:15am

Where: in the OOSH hall followed by visiting your child's classroom after the workshop.

Please join Mrs Brierley, Mrs Hopkins and Miss Mansfield for a parent information session focused on supporting your child with reading at home. Following the session, parents are invited to visit their child’s classroom to see the strategies in action as students demonstrate what was discussed in the workshop. Parents will receive some valuable handouts and information during this session and encourage all parents to attend, if possible.

English Spelling Is So Difficult We've Created A National Competition

Spelling Bee

Date: during Weeks 7 and 8 (exact dates TBC)

Who: Stages 2 and 3

Preschool StoryTime

Date: Friday 12 June

Where: library

Children intending on attending Pitt Town Public School are invited to our first StoryTime session with Mrs Hopkins. Please RSVP via email: sharon.hopkins@det.nsw.edu.au and take the time to view our invitation.

Athletics carnival

3-6 Carnival - Wednesday 17 June

** Please note that this carnival also includes competitive athletes who turn 8 in 2026.
